oh goodness. time for an update?

it's incredible to me how busy life gets so quickly.   thing are going very well for me here.  i'm still alive, and i'm now....TA-DA...EIGHTEEN. : D  well, i'm happy. for my birthday i got to go see this amazing pianist named john schmidt with madeleine, my mum and cousin michael. maddie and i even got a picture with him afterwards! and now....i'll try to give a quick recap on the last two weeks.  i attended the late summer honors program from the 21st to the 27th. the 28th, new student orientation started. september 2nd my semester classes started. i'm taking an honors english class,  french 102, american heritage (history/gov't/econ), a book of mormon class, and bio 100.  i could have by-passed the biology class, but i heard that the professor was worth the class...and i have to say so far they were right. professor booth is a jedi master, and we are his biology padawans.  he has a glass lightsaber.  he also has what he calls the yogurt program. we owe him a yogurt if we  miss a class,  fail an exam, get mad at our roommates, forget to make the bed, or mentally give up on the class.  he keeps the yogurts in his office and gives them to upset students who come and talk to him. he's pretty rad. :]  this past weekend i ended up at my friend hannah's apartment (we live in wyview, formerly married housing) having a neon dance party.  the pictures were tons of fun to edit!  i've also got a few from the first day of school, my roommates, my walk home one night, and campus. (per request from amy. : D  ) enjoy! i've gotta go and finish homework...(story of my life!)
...MORE UPDATE!!!
okay, so nothing huge has happened in the past week or so.

i went to the conference center to go see this AMAZING concert with MOTAB and brian stokes mitchell, but that's about it. my first test is tomorrow......wish me luck!!!!!!!!!!!

I got your birthday card today. Thank you so much -- it was very sweet. And don't worry... I'll make sure you have a chance to play Die Macher at Thanksgiving or Christmas! ;)

Hi. Alysha. Glad things are going well. Any dates? Just kidding. You know me, I just had to throw that in there. We were at your parents house this weekend and I was showing Spencer the pictures of you and Wug when you were little. He smiled back at the pictures of you smiling. It was cute.

Wow! Free yougurt. I would totally be in that professor's office everyday with a problem to get free yougurt. You know me. I'm all about free food.

Finally, I need to get my glasses checked. At first look I thought Maddie was Aunt Marilynn in that picture with you and the piano guy.

Tata for now.
